The Department Manager Electrical and Automation Engineering is a full-time position based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.Responsibilities:- Mentor, retain, motivate and develop existing department staff and ensure department/individual morale is enhanced- Manage department staffing level- Allocate and assign staff to projects- Ensure that department staff follow corporate and department safety, quality, business development, engineering, etc. procedures and processes- Actively encourage and support the development of a safety culture- Perform performance and salary reviews- Review discipline estimates and schedules to be included in proposals- Monitor project execution with respect to the discipline technical and quality standards, budgets and schedules are met- Participate actively and effectively in business development (presentations, negotiations, proposal preparation/writing etc.

)- Monitor and report on department/staff activities and provide relevant management information- Monitor the state of discipline systems to ensure that Worley remains competitive and up to date- Develop business relationship with key clients.- Technical governance of electrical deliverables to ensure compliance with Worley Standards and Technical requirementsQualificationsRequirements:- 10 years prior experience in electrical & automation engineering- Previous experience in working on small fast paced consulting projects.- Experience in a multidiscipline engineering environment- Experience with engineering for large industrial facilities- Knowledgeable on power distribution, process electrical and controls, instrumentation and communication network applications- Engaged in electrical and automation business development activities- Registered or be eligible to register as P.

Eng in Canada- Previous experience in managing or leading a group of 5 or more engineers- Experience in preparing proposals and developing engineering and capital cost estimates- Provide mentoring to junior engineers- A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Exceptional Interpersonal skillsFor candidates based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range on this role is: $181,900 to $315,788 CAD per year.Advisian (part of the Worley Group) offers an excellent remuneration & benefits package, a friendly, professional, dynamic and flexible work environment along with the opportunity to develop your career prospects within Canada and overseas.
