As part of a passionate and accomplished team, you will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, integrated supply chain and quality organizations, improving team effectiveness and coordination, and ensuring that the right people are working together to solve problems and deliver results on time. Assignments can range from supporting engine subsystem integration activities to component development and testing coordination.

In early project phases, you may define project scope and schedule to achieve overall program goals and component requirements. In later phases, you will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, manage changes, and resolve unexpected problems in support of engine or subsystem builds, subsequent integration into test facilities and launch vehicles, and test activities.In this role, you will work as part of the Engines Design Office to lead a passionate team of contributors and experts as a Project Engineer supporting the Injectors IPT within the BE-3PM Team.

BE-3PM is a liquid Oxygen and Hydrogen engine capable of 110K lbf thrust used to propel Blue Origin's internally developed New Shepard vehicle. In this role, you will partner with Blue Engines' design engineers in developing and manufacturing engine combustion device components. In this critical role, you assume ultimate ownership and accountability for the successful execution of engine combustion devices in support of programmatic milestones.

Potential hardware could include injectors, and injector elements, heat exchangers, and housings used in high pressure and cryogenic applications. You will oversee design, manufacturing and test of combustion devices and and assemblies as well as help define and refine best practices to increase the efficiency of our project execution and manufacturing approaches and processes. You will work with vendors to define requirements and manage supplier developments for procuring hardware and assemblies, including working with vendors through technical issues.

As the primary point of contact, you must enjoy solving communication and organizational problems, earning trust, and improving the overall performance of all teams involved. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can work with minimal direction and coordinate teams in the successful execution of engineering integration activities. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflightResponsibilities:Develop project plans to deliver injector hardware and sub-assemblies in support of development, qualification and flight hardware and testLead the execution of a cross functional, cross discipline team through all phases of the product lifecycle- concept, product design & development, manufacturing, certification, production, and flight.

Support the planning, execution, and direction for all phases of projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.Develop program plans, budgets, and schedules, both from internally derived goals and constraints, as well as from customer contracts and statements-of-work.Create the framework used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data.

Monitor technical progress, requirements, budget, schedule, deliverables and risks and review recommendations for change with program management.Owner of business rhythm reviews and communication paths to the IPT Lead, supporting program manager and business teams, including: weekly/monthly program management reviews, finance reviews, long term forecasting, business plan, and project deep dives.Prepare, integrate inputs and support negotiations on technical proposals.

Support the development of specifications, requirements and management of interfaces between customers and project technical efforts.Identify risks and develop mitigation plansCoach and mentor the team of dedicated Project Engineers by reviewing technical work, giving them actionable feedback, setting clear goals, and coordinating project work with other teams and managers.Participate in company-wide significant process and/or tool development activities, strategic initiatives, technology maturation, and capturing of best practices.
