This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. This position entails overseeing Lunar Integration and Test Engineers while also acting as a test engineer for the Avionics Systems Test team.

As manager,you will guide a skilled and multifaceted team of engineers as they integrate hardware and software to carry out developmental and verification tests on components and vehicle subsystems. Position nominally has about 10% travel with infrequent select periods up to 50% to support testing at remote sites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage and oversee the Avionics Test Engineering group, supporting a variety of testing initiatives from component-level to full vehicle integration.

The number of assigned personnel will be adjusted to maintain a ratio of no more than 12-15 employees.50% of scope will be in executing as a test engineer supporting integration and test activities.You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program.

You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.Minimum Qualifications:2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with responsibility for career management of employees.6+ years of experience in at least one specialty area applicable to aerospace.

Strong understanding of avionics components, systems and integration testing principles.Demonstrated leadership in establishing a high-performing safety culture.Excellent written and oral communication skillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with verification, integration, and test, of orbital vehicles or human rated spacecraft.Demonstrated drive to correct errors at their root and not pass them downstream.Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvement for processes, methods, and practices.
